Speaking February 8th was Jim Ducibella, William & Mary web writer, writing for all of the university’s publications and website.

His second book is a non-fiction golf story about the craziest bet ever made. Title: King of Clubs: The Great Golf Marathon of 1938. It won 2012 book of the year from the International Network of Golf. Ducibella continues freelance writing for The Virginia Golfer magazine and Boomer out of Richmond.

Before W&M and he spent 30 years as a sportswriter for both The Washington (D.C.) Star and The (Norfolk) Virginian-Pilot, during which time he covered Old Dominion University, the University of Virginia, the ACC, professional and big-time amateur golf, and the Washington Redskins and NFL (20 years).

In 2010, he was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his career.
