Congratulations to these outstanding seniors!

Atlantic Shores Christian Schools

Elijah D’angelo Lindquist O’Bryant — Elijah plans to attend George Mason University and major in Criminal Justice. In high school he participated in Cross Country and Track and Field. He is a member of the National Honor Society and served as Treasurer for his senior class and the Ambassador Club. Elijah currently has a 3.99 GPA.

Deep Creek High School

Ariana Lynn McCoy — Ariana has been accepted at Virginia Commonwealth University and plans to major in Urban and Regional Planning. In high school she participated in Cross Country and Track and Field. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She was team captain of the Cross Country team, was selected first team All-conference in Cross Country, and was named Principle chair cellist for the school orchestra. Ariana currently has a 3.521 GPA.

Grace Evelyn Rovenolt — Grace has been accepted at the University of Virginia and plans to major in Human Biology. In high school she participated in Cross Country and Track and Field. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Key Club and served as Captain of the Girls Cross Country Team. Grace currently has a 4.78 GPA and is ranked # 1 in her graduating class.

Grassfield High School

Samantha Vutsinas — Samantha has been accepted at James Madison University and plans to major in Elementary Education. In high school she participated in Volleyball, the Student Council, the Concert Orchestra, and was a member of the Principals Planning Council. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Rho Kappa History Honor Society, and the National English Honor Society. She was named 1st team in volleyball. Samantha currently has a 4.0961 GPA.

Great Bridge High School

Mayanni Alexis McCourty — Maryanni has been accepted at Virginia Wesleyan. In high school she participate in Volleyball and Track and Field and was selected 2nd team all-Conference. She is a member of the National Honor Society and school Chamber Orchestra. Maryanni currently has a 3.9158 GPA.

Russell Makoa Martin — Russell has been accepted at the College William and Mary and plans to major in Computer Engineering and Physics. In high school he participated in Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball, and Soccer. He was named Captain of the swim team and was a state qualifier in swimming. Russell is a member of the National Honor Society and the Virginian Pilot Scholastic Achievement team. Russell currently has a 4.6395 GPA.

Hickory High School

Melanie Marie Carter — Melanie has been accepted at of William and Mary and plans to major in International Relations. In high school she participated in Track and Field and was selected Captain of the Track team. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society, and the Virginian Pilot Scholastic Achievement team. Melanie currently has a 4.725 GPA and ranks #2 in her graduating class.

William John Sevcik — William has been accepted at both James Madison University and Virginia Tech and plans to major in Business Management or Physics. In high school he participated in Football and served as Captain of the team both his junior and senior years. William is a member and President of the Future Business Leaders Club and is active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. William currently has a 4.0667 GPA.

Indian River High School

Nichelle Ramona Farokhpour — Nichelle has been accepted at Liberty University and plans to major in Aeronautics in preparation for a career in the Air Force. In high school she participated in Soccer, Cross Country, and Track and Field. She is a member of the German Club, Invisible Children, and serves as Vice-President of her senior class. Nichelle currently has a 3.54 GPA.

James Harris Albritton — James has been accepted at Liberty University and plans to major in Theology or Education. In high school he participated in Golf, Soccer, and Cross Country. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders, and Bible Club. He has served as a volunteer at St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children, and Worship Leader at his church. James currently has a 4.025 GPA.

Oscar Smith High School

Alexus JaNae Knight — Alexus has been accepted at Hampton University and plans to major in Psychology. In high school she participated in Volleyball and Basketball. She is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and DECA. She was selected 2nd team All-Conference and a member of the Virginia Coaches Association All Star team. Alexus currently has a 3.5164 GPA.

Western Branch High School

Harry William Holtzclaw — Harry has been accepted at James Madison University and plans to major in Education in preparation for a career in teaching. In high school he participated in Tennis and Golf. During his senior year he was named Team Captain. He is a member of the National Honor Society and DECA, and serves as a volunteer at the Portsmouth Humane Society. Harry currently has a 3.7026 GPA.
