The purpose of the Chesapeake Sports Club is to demonstrate the importance of sports and sports related topics through educational, social and recreational events. The corporation will seek to further its purpose with an active membership which will promote athletics and sportsmanship, regardless of sex, race, socio-economic status or chosen sports activity. The organization will periodically recognize past and present outstanding athletic accomplishments of individuals from Chesapeake’s high schools. The corporation may also recognize outstanding high school, collegiate or professional individuals with ties or connections to the City of Chesapeake as Legends of Honor. The Corporation will strive to provide scholarships to selected outstanding students.
