The Chesapeake Sports Club was organized in January 2011 for the purpose of promoting Sports
in Chesapeake, and providing scholarships to Chesapeake high school student-athletes.
The Club raises funds to support its mission through monthly luncheons, special events,
memberships, and sponsorships. Our members play a vital role in how we honor our mission,
and are key component to the overall success of the Club. Please consider joining the Chesapeake
Sports Club, and help us continue to celebrate all that is great about sports in Chesapeake.
Annual Dues of $100.00 per year.
If you pay using this method, there is a transaction fee of $3.20 making the total $103.20.
Member of the year award
Nomination Requirements
The nominee for the ROBERT G. BAGLEY AWARD must meet both of the following requirements:
1. Must be an active member of the Chesapeake Sports Club (CSC).
2. Must have served their qualifying requirements in the City of Chesapeake.
Additionally, the nominee for the ROBERT G. BAGLEY AWARD must meet one of the following requirements:
1. A person who has given years of volunteer service in a community youth organization, i.e. coach or youth group leader.
2. A person who was or is a longtime coach, administrator or a volunteer within a high school, college or university.
3. A person who has been recognized for his/her achievements in sports.
4. A person who has been recognized by the CSC for “Outstanding Contributions” supporting the CSC through sponsorships or donations.
5. A person who has shown “Outstanding Leadership” in the CSC by serving as an officer, member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of a Fund Raiser or a Special Event.
Nominating committee
1. A nominating committee will be chosen by the Club President. The President will select a minimum of three active CSC members to form a committee. The committee will review all qualified nominations and provide to the CSC Board of Directors the name of the person selected for final approval. A plaque for this award will be presented to the recipient at the Club’s Annual Jamboree.
2. Members in good standing in the club may nominate an individual member of the club using the attached nomination form. Nominations must be submitted to the Chairman of the Nominating Committee no later than 60 days prior to the Club’s Jamboree. Chairman and members of this committee will be posted on the website annually.
